Daniel Byman is a professor in the Security Studies Program of the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University and the research director of the Saban Center for Middle East Policy at the Brookings Institution. He has held a range of positions, some of them rather dull, in the U.S. government. Dr. Byman’s latest book is A High Price: The Triumphs and Failures of Israeli Counterterrorism.
