Rachel Epstein

 

Rachel Epstein (Cornell University PhD, 2001) is a Professor of International Relations at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver. Her recent research focuses on Europe’s long financial crisis, but her earlier research was on the role of international organizations in the post-communist transition of East Central Europe. She is the author of In Pursuit of Liberalism: International Institutions in Postcommunist Europe (Johns Hopkins 2008), for which she was awarded the Ed A. Hewett Book Award, and Banking on Markets: The Transformation of Bank-State Ties in Europe and Beyond (Oxford 2017). Currently she is a co-editor at the Review of International Political Economy and an executive member of the European Union Studies Association charged with planning the Association’s 2019 biennial meeting.
