Philip Potter is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Politics at the University of Virginia. His research focuses on the domestic politics of international conflict and militant violence. He is a principal investigator for a Department of Defense Minerva Initiative project to map and analyze collaborative relationships between terrorist organizations. His book, War and Democratic Constraint (with Matthew Baum), is now available from Princeton University Press. He has been a fellow at Harvard University and the University of Pennsylvania and holds degrees from UCLA and McGill University.
